hdcarwallpapers.com is a free car wallpaper library. You can browse and download every wallpaper on this site without an account and without giving us your name, your email address, or any other personal detail.
This page explains the little we do collect, the cookies this site sets, and the third parties whose code runs on these pages. It describes the site as it actually works today rather than a generic template.
The short version
- No account is needed, and we do not ask you to create one.
- We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with marketers.
- Our own record of what gets downloaded is a count per wallpaper. It is not tied to you.
- Google serves our advertising and our traffic analytics, and Google sets its own cookies to do it. That is the main way information about your visit leaves this site.
What we collect
Server logs
Like every web server, ours records each request: your IP address, the page or image requested, the time, the referring page, and your browser’s user-agent string. An IP address can often be resolved to an internet provider and an approximate location. We use these logs to diagnose faults, block abuse, and produce aggregate traffic figures. We do not use them to build a profile of you.
Download counts
When a wallpaper is downloaded we add one to that wallpaper’s total and to a per-day tally for it. That is all that is recorded — no IP address, no account, nothing that identifies the person downloading. The per-day rows are deleted automatically once they are 30 days old; the running totals are kept so we can show which wallpapers are popular.
If you use the contact form
The contact form asks for your email address, a subject, and your message. Submitting it sends that content to us by email, and the message we receive also includes your IP address and the hostname your provider reports for it. This is anti-abuse information: the form is public and unauthenticated, so we need some way to identify a source that floods it. A CAPTCHA guards the form for the same reason. We keep contact emails only as long as needed to deal with what you wrote to us about.
What we do not collect
We do not log the terms you type into the site search. We do not run a newsletter or a mailing list. We do not operate any tracking of our own beyond what is described on this page.
Cookies this site sets
These are our own cookies. None of them carries an advertising or tracking function.

Until recently the site also set a third cookie, with a long hexadecimal name, that held a language setting and a first-seen timestamp for twenty days. The site has only ever been published in English, so that cookie recorded a choice nobody could make. We have stopped setting it, and it is deleted from your browser the next time you visit.
Google sets further cookies of its own for advertising and analytics. Those are covered in the next section and are governed by Google’s policies rather than ours. You can delete any of these cookies at any time, or tell your browser to refuse them, and the site will still work.
Third parties whose code runs on this site
Google AdSense
Advertising is what keeps this site free. Google and its partners use cookies and similar identifiers to choose which advertisements to show you, to limit how often you see the same one, and to measure results. Depending on your consent and your Google settings, this may draw on your previous visits to this and other sites.
You can review and change what Google uses at My Ad Center, and read how Google handles data from sites that use its products at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites. Industry-wide opt-outs are available at optout.aboutads.info and youronlinechoices.eu.
Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics to count visits and see which wallpapers and categories people look for. It tells us how many people came, roughly where from, and which pages they used, and we use that to decide what to add to the site. We do not use it to identify individual visitors, and we have not linked it to any advertising audience list of our own.
Consent
Visitors in regions where consent is required are shown a consent notice served by Google’s Privacy & Messaging service before personalised advertising is used. Your choice is recorded by that service and can be changed later from the same notice.
Font Awesome
The icons on this site are loaded from the Font Awesome content delivery network. Requesting those files exposes your IP address and browser details to that network, as loading any file from any server does. It sets no cookies for us and receives nothing else about you.
Links out
Pages here link to our apps on Google Play and the Apple App Store. Those stores are operated by Google and Apple under their own privacy policies, and we receive nothing about what you do once you leave.
Legacy features
This site runs on wallpaper software that includes member accounts, star ratings, and comments. None of the three is offered to visitors: there is no sign-up link, no rating control, and no comment box anywhere on the site, and we do not intend to reintroduce them.
Two things follow from that history, and we would rather state them than leave them unsaid. First, if an account exists for you from years ago, it holds a username, an email address, a password, and whatever you chose to put in the profile; ask us and we will delete it. Second, ratings cast in those years were stored together with the voting visitor’s IP address, to stop the same person voting twice. That old data still sits in our database, is not used for anything, and is on our list to purge.
Children
This site is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has sent us personal information through the contact form, write to us and we will delete it.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask what personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to object to how it is used, or to receive a copy. Because we deliberately hold almost nothing, the honest answer to most such requests is that we hold nothing beyond server logs. If you have written to us through the contact form, or hold one of the legacy accounts described above, email us and we will find it and delete it.
Advertising and analytics data held by Google is under Google’s control rather than ours. Use the Google links above to see and change it.
Sharing and selling
We do not sell personal data. We do not share it with data brokers, marketers, or list buyers. The only third parties that receive anything are the services named on this page, in the course of doing the job they are here to do, and anyone we are legally required to disclose to.
Retention and security
Server logs and backups are kept for a limited period and then rotated out. Daily download rows are deleted after 30 days. Data on this site may be copied to additional machines for backup and redundancy. We take reasonable measures to protect what we hold, but no site can promise perfect security.
Changes to this policy
If the site’s features change, this page changes with them, and the date at the top is updated. Material changes will be summarised here rather than made silently.
